West Virginia's First Lighthouse School

Hurricane Town Elementary School—a member of the Putnam County school district in the great state of West Virginia, becomes the first Lighthouse School in the state. At HTE, the leadership culture is celebrated by a united team of outstanding educators and staff who are deeply committed to the development and growth of the “whole child.”

Wildy Important Goals for 2018-2019
1. By May 2019, 80% of the students will demonstrate proficiency on grade level reading standards.
2. By May of 2019, 80% of the students will demonstrate proficiency on grade level math standards. 
3. By the end of May 2019, 85% of the parents/guardians will have participated in at least two school events, as evidence by attendance sheets.
