Please be aware of the following reminders from HTES. *Unfortunately, visitors are not permitted in the school, so parents will not be able to walk students into the building on the first day. K-2 teachers provided backpack tags to be attached to your child’s backpack indicating their name, grade, and mode of transportation home. Please remember to use this tag, it will be essential for staff who are escorting your child into the school from your car or from the bus. It will also be essential for us to know how to help your child at dismissal. *If you have not sent back your child’s emergency card and health information sheet, please do so on their first day of school. *Please have your child bring their ipad fully charged to school with them. These devices will be used daily in classrooms. *Doors will open for student drop off at 8am at HTES. *Students and staff will be required to wear face coverings at all times. We encourage students to wear their own face mask from home. However, if your child does not have a face mask, we are happy to provide one. *Please complete the daily home health screening checklist with your child each morning before coming to school. If your child is displaying symptoms of Covid-19, has had close contact with an infected individual, or is currently under quarantine or isolation due to a positive test, please do not send your child to school. Please report any of this information to the school as soon as possible. We look forward to welcoming our in person learners back to school!

PCS will implement the staggered re-entry plan for students in the 5 day model for all in-person learners in grades PreK-12. Anyone who attends the drive thru tomorrow is welcome to return any completed work or necessary forms (emergency cards, etc.) It has come to our attention that many students may not have had the opportunity to return last year’s textbooks that were borrowed when school was closed back in March. If you have any books from last year we would appreciate it greatly if you would return them. Please make sure the child’s name is on all forms, papers, and books that your return. Thank you so much!

Good evening! In person learners who picked up learning packets should continue to check Schoology this week as well. Teachers are planning Teams meetings throughout the week for continued check ins with students and to assist with lessons as needed. We understand that not all students who chose in person model have access to devices or internet. For this reason, students will not be penalized for not participating on Schoology this week. Discussion and lessons in these teams meetings will mirror work provided in the learning packets as much as possible. However, we also understand that many are able to access and we would like to provide opportunities for in person students to participate virtually if possible. Please remember to use the web address Putnam.schoology.com. Students log in using Office 365 credentials. We are so appreciative of the support parents are providing their children during this remote learning experience, and we are so proud of how hard our students are working. Thank you for being our partner in educating your child and for all of the understanding you’ve shown school staff. Have a great evening!
