In addition, you and your student will also be receiving an email with a link to a video score report for WVGSA or WV SAT only. The video link is being sent to the student email account and the parent email on file with your student. Please have your student check the student email account to find the link. Simply copy the link into your web browser and use your student’s birthdate to open the video score report. If you enter the birthdate incorrectly three times, the account will be locked. If you do not receive printed score reports OR if you have difficulty opening the video report, please contact the school for assistance. Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation as we work to adapt our drop-off and pick-up procedures. This morning and this afternoon were smooth, efficient, and safe. As a reminder, it is not recommended you arrive before 7:35 for arrival or 2:50 for pick-up. if you arrive before that time, please park in an empty spot on the lot and wait for police or staff to direct you to enter the traffic line. Beginning tomorrow, Sept. 13, 2022 all Pre-K students will be dismissed at 2:00pm from the Pre-K classrooms. All Pre-K parents should park closest to the parking lot entrance in an empty spot and receive their children from the doors from room 7 and 8. Thank you again as we work to ensure efficiency and safety for all!

In an effort to expedite drop-off for all and alleviate traffic back-up on Harbour Lane, on Monday morning Hurricane Police Department will be at HTES to assist as we try a new arrival procedure for our families who drop off their students. It is recommended that parents not arrive to HTES before our doors open to students at 7:35am. However, if you arrive before this time, please park in an empty spot before the gates open and then follow the direction of the officer on duty. We will attempt to follow the same new procedures for dismissal/pick-up at the end of the day. Again, dismissal is at 2:50pm and it is not recommended that families arrive until then for pick-up. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work with Hurricane Police in this matter.

Hello and welcome back for the 2022-2023 school year! We hope all families can join us this evening from 5-7pm for Open House. Class lists will be posted outside classroom doors and bus drivers will be on hand in the cafeteria to answer any questions you may have about bus routes and times. Please use this time to take your back to school photos utilizing the decorations out front or our backdrop in the cafeteria! To keep the traffic flowing on the first day of school we ask that all parents remain in their car as you drop off your child. Staff will be on hand to assist your child into the building and into the correct classroom. Reminder that doors open at 7:35am and the tardy bell rings at 8:00am beginning on Wednesday. Daily dismissal is at 2:50pm. We look forward to seeing you tonight for Open House and Wednesday for the first day of school!

Today your child will bring home a paper copy of the Student Daily Health Assessment. Please make sure you keep a copy of this on hand at your home, and please assess your child every morning before sending them to school. While we understand that many illnesses are prevalent right now, the number of cases of Covid in our region are also at a high level. Please help us to stop the spread of all types of illness and keep all of our kids healthy by referencing the Student Daily Health Assessment Sheet each day. Thank you!
